From Pakse Airport take a local tuk tuk ( local taxi ) to the South Bus Station, located about 8 kms south of Pakse Town. Then catch a local bus to Khong Island. When the bus crosses the Makong River at Hat Xai Khun (Ban Hat), advise the driver to stop at the Sala Done Khong Hotel on Khong Island. Journey time is over 2 hours.
