Sapa Hilltribe Villages Trek

Day 01: Hanoi - Laocai

Meet up at Noi Bai airport or at your hotel in Hanoi and transfer to Hanoi railway station for the night train to Laocai. Overnight on the train.

Day 02: Lao Cai - Sapa

Upon arrival at Lai Cai railways station, we go straight to the former hill station of Sapa. Free time at leisure or have some walks around by own. In the afternoon we embark on a walk into the nearby Cat Cat valley, passing through some Hmong villages along the route. Later we drive the short distance to the Red Dao village of Ta Phin nestled in a picturesque valley. We spend tonight in Sapa town.

Day 03: Sapa - Ban Ho village - Thanh Phu village

After breakfast at hotel,this morning we set out to explore some of the minority settlements in the Sapa region. We descend into the valley towards the Tay village of Ban Ho. We then cross a suspension bridge and walk through paddy fields to Thanh Phu village where we stay the night in a local house as guests of a Tay family.

Day 04: Thanh Phu village - Nam Cung village - Sin Chai village

Today we have a full day's exploration around the scenic valleys and hills, rice paddies. We pass through several minority villages such as Nam Cung before arriving at the Red Dao village of Sin Chai where we will be their guests for the next two nights in their house.

Day 05: Sin Chai village

Today we have a full day's exploration in and around Sin Chai village. If you do not like to do some trek today, just relax in the village and observe daily life of the Red Dao people.

Day 06: Sin Chai village - Nam Nhiu village - Nam Than village - Nam Sai village

Our adventure continues as we trek further in to the heart of Sapa. We will have some spectacular views of the surrounding mountain ranges. We pass through several different minority hamlets of the Red Dao in Nam Nhiu village or the one of the Blue H'Mong village of Nam Than  and finally Nam Sai village of the Tay people. Tonight we stay in the village of Nam Sai village.

Day 07: Nam Sai village - My Son village - Nam Toong village - Ban Ho village - Sapa

On our fifth and final day of trekking we begin our walking downhill toward My Son village belonging to the Xafo people, one of the smallest minority groups in Vietnam. From here we proceed to another Red Dao village trek where we will stop for lunch. Later we descend to Ban Ho village and have the chance to swim in the nearby La Vie waterfall before we join our vehicle for the return back to Lao Cai station. Take the night train to Hanoi.

Day 08: Arrival in Hanoi

Upon arrival at Hanoi railway station, you will be transferred back to your hotel in town or directly to the airport for your onward flight. End tour.
