Day 01: Hanoi - Laocai
You will be met up by Lotussia local guide and driver at Noi Bai airport (or at your hotel in Hanoi) and transfered to Hanoi railways station for taking the night train to Lao Cai. Overnight on the train.
Day 02: Lao Cai - Sapa
Upon arrival at Lai Cai station early morning, you will be greeted by Lotussia local guide and driver and transfered then to the former hill station of Sapa. In the afternoon we embark on a walk into the nearby Cat Cat valley, passing through some Hmong villages along the route. Later we drive the short distance to the Red Dao village of Ta Phin nestled in a picturesque valley. We spend tonight in Sapa town.
Day 03: Sapa - Ho village - Thanh Phu village - Sin Chai village
This morning we set out to explore some of the minority settlements in the Sapa region. We will be using the local paths and treking through some stunning scenery. The trek itself is quite hard but the rewards are immense as we encounter the local population going about their daily lives in the mountains and valleys. We pass through several Dao and Tay hamlets and villages before arriving at the Red Dao village of Sin Chai where we will be their guests for tonight in traditional bamboo huts.
Day 04: Sin Chai village - Suoi Thau village - Sin Chai village
Today we have a full day's exploration in and around Sin Chai village. This involves a loop around Sin Chai including another Red Dao village, Suoi Thau.
Day 05: Sin Chai village - Sapa - Lao Cai - Hanoi.
On our third and final day of trekking we begin our walking downhill toward My Son village belonging to the Xafo people, one of the smallest minority groups innVietnam. From here we proceed to another Red Dao village where we have lunch. Later we descend to Ban Ho village and have the chance to swim in the nearby La Vie waterfall before we join our vehicle for the transfer back to Lao Cai station for the overnight train that will bring us back to Hanoi the following morning. Overnight on the train.
Day 06: Arrival in Hanoi
Upon arrival at Hanoi railways station, you will be greeted again by Lotussia local guide and driver and transferred back to your hotel in town or directly to Noi Bai airport for your onward flight. End tour.
