Itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi – Halong Bay.

07:30-08:00: Our team will arrange a convenient pickup for you from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter and transport you to Ha Long. Kindly note that this service is exclusively available for guests who have booked the Limousine Bus or shuttle bus.

11:30-12:00: Upon your arrival at No. 12, Tuan Chau Marina, our warm and friendly cruise staff will greet you in the waiting lounge and assist you with the check-in process.

As you step aboard the Hera Classic Boutique Cruise, our attentive crew will welcome you with a refreshing drink and a cool towel before you settle into your cabin. Setting sail from Tuan Chau Marina, the Hera embarks on an enthralling journey to uncover the captivating beauty of Ha Long Bay. En route, you’ll be treated to awe-inspiring views of some of Ha Long’s most enchanting spots, where its grandeur is revealed through countless limestone islands. The vessel will make its way to Luon Cave and Titop Island.

During the cruise to Luon Cave and Titop Island, savor a delightful lunch served at our luxurious onboard restaurant.

Following your meal, feel free to return to your cabin and get ready for swimming activities at Titop Island. Here, you have the choice to explore the island, hiking to its summit for panoramic views of Ha Long Bay, or take a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear blue waters for a rejuvenating swim.

Continuing the adventure, Hera Cruise will guide you to the captivating area of Luon Cave. Here, engage in kayaking or rafting, immersing yourself in the extraordinary landscape of thousand-year-old rock formations.

As the sun begins to set, between 17:30 and 18:00, we invite you to join us back on board for the Sunset Party and a cooking class. As the vessel cruises along the coast, unwind and soak in the serene atmosphere while enjoying a cup of traditional Vietnamese tea or coffee on the sundeck. Experience the tranquility of Ha Long Bay as the day transitions into a serene evening. During this time, our chef will provide instructions for crafting delicious traditional Vietnamese floating rice cakes, which you can relish after preparing.

Between 17:30 and 18:30, take advantage of our Happy Hour promotion, offering a buy-two-drinks-get-one-free deal.

At 19:30, weather permitting, a romantic outdoor dinner will be served. In the event of unfavorable weather, dinner will be offered in our cozy restaurant.

After dinner, at 21:30, take a moment to relax and enjoy the serene night view of the bay from the deck. Additionally, partake in various evening activities, including a massage (additional charges apply), a complimentary herbal foot bath in your room, bamboo dancing, a fashion show showcasing traditional costumes called “Footsteps of Heritage,” and enjoy drinks at the Sky Bar while gazing at the breathtaking nocturnal scenery. For those interested, squid fishing is also an option.

For a peaceful night’s rest, the cruise ship will anchor in a serene area, providing the perfect environment to unwind and appreciate the tranquility of your surroundings.

Day 2: Halong Bay – Viet Hai Village – Halong Bay.

08:30: Begin your day by being picked up from the cruise and transferred to a day boat for an exhilarating journey to Viet Hai Ancient Village.

Explore the captivating Viet Hai Ancient Village. You can opt to ride a bicycle or take an electric car to explore the village. Situated deep within Cat Ba National Park, this ancient fishing village spans approximately 141 hectares. Surrounded by lush tropical forests and the sea, it offers an unspoiled and captivating natural landscape. Immerse yourself in the serene daily life of the locals and enjoy intriguing experiences.

Return to the boat and relish a delectable lunch featuring sumptuous seafood specialties as the boat sails toward Tay Keo Cave. Reach the Tay Keo Cave area, where you can participate in an exhilarating kayaking activity. Rejoin the boat and be transferred to Ba Trai Dao Beach, acclaimed as the most beautiful beach in Lan Ha Bay, for a revitalizing swimming session. This breathtaking beach boasts white sands, emerald waters, and a mild, pleasant climate.

After your swim, you will be transported back to Hera Classic Boutique Cruise. Return to Hera Classic Boutique Cruise and take some time to relax or relish panoramic views of Halong Bay from the Sundeck. You can also avail the foot soak basin, gym, and sauna room free of charge, or treat yourself to a rejuvenating massage (additional charges apply).

17:30-18:00: Join the Sunset party and cooking class on board as the vessel continues its journey towards the shore. Unwind on the sundeck, sipping a cup of traditional Vietnamese tea or coffee, and bask in the breathtaking scenery and beautiful sunset. While Ha Long Bay exudes tranquility during the day, it becomes even more serene and peaceful as the sun goes down. Our chef will guide you in making delightful traditional Vietnamese floating rice cakes, which you can enjoy creating on your own.

17:30-18:30: Take advantage of the Happy Hour promotion and enjoy a Buy 2 Drinks, Get 1 Free offer.

19:30: Delight in an outdoor dinner, weather permitting, or dine at the restaurant.

After dinner, relish the tranquil nighttime views of the bay from the deck. Guests can also partake in evening activities such as a soothing massage (additional charge), a complimentary herbal foot bath, captivating traditional stall dance performances, a fashion show highlighting customs called “Heritage Footsteps,” and enjoy a drink at the Sky Bar (additional charge). Admire the serene beauty of Halong Bay at night and join the squid fishing program aboard the canoe. The ship will anchor at a designated area for a peaceful overnight stay.

Day 3: Halong Bay – Hanoi.

06:15: Begin your day with a rejuvenating Tai Chi class held on the sun deck. Delight in a light breakfast spread featuring coffee, tea, cakes, fruits, Pho Vietnam, and an egg station.

Embark on an exploration of Sung Sot Cave, an impressive natural wonder in Ha Long Bay. Renowned for its grandeur, Sung Sot Cave showcases unique rock formations that cannot be found anywhere else. As you make your way through the cave, you’ll traverse a path enveloped by lush foliage and ascend steep stone steps, offering a sense of scaling a mountain and the exhilaration of stepping into the sky. Return to the ship where you can unwind in your cabin, soak up the sun on the sundeck, and capture captivating photographs of the picturesque Ha Long Bay.

09:30: It’s time for check-out. Please place your luggage outside your cabin and leave the room key at the front desk. Our attentive staff will take care of transferring your belongings to the designated waiting area. Indulge in an early lunch buffet served at the restaurant on the second floor. If you have any outstanding bills, kindly settle them at this time.

11:00: Arrive at Tuan Chau Marina, marking the end of your journey with us. For guests utilizing the bus service, you have the opportunity to explore Tuan Chau Island by cycling after completing the check-out process.

Cruise itinerary and schedule are subject to change due to weather, tide levels and operating conditions. Swimming or kayaking excursions may be cancelled due to poor weather.

Tour guide

Our tour guides speak English or French. They hold a university degree in tourism and national license as a guide. If you wish to send a tour leader along with any group, he or she can fully rely on the knowledge and experience of our local guides.

Remote treks are always accompanied by a local representative to deal with permits and authorities and manage the porter team. They speak the local dialects, know the cultural traditions and give tips on suggested behavior in fragile ecological areas and tribal communities. For some itineraries, the role of tour leader and representative is combined.

Driver

Our drivers don’t speak English. It’s possible that a few of them might know some basic words, such as telling time, stop, and lunch. If you’re looking for effective communication throughout the journey, we highly recommend booking a tour guide.

Trip routes

Principally, Lotussia Travel requires all the trip associates to know the destinations well by any means of traveling or enquiry to the local suppliers to figure out all the relative details of any trip. For adventure tours such as jungle trekking, mountain hiking, sea kayaking, river rafting or biking, cycling tours, Lotussia Travel will never add any new routes into available schedule until survey or pre-view it.

Accommodation

Lotussia Travel carefully choose all the hotels, guest-houses or home-stays based on service quality, location, and characteristics, doing best to make the accommodations in the remote small places as comfortable as possible. Please bear in mind that hotels in Vietnam might not be in the same standard in other country. Generally hotels in major cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh city, Hoian, Hue…are much better than hotels and guest-houses in mountainous areas.

Meals

Lotussia Travel take dinning as an indispensable experience to clients since it is an important part in Vietnamese culture. Therefore, Lotussia Travel will not intend take clients to the most expensive restaurants but non-touristy local ones which offer delicious, local food, with nice or interesting atmosphere. The restaurants might be simple in the country but LOTUSSIA Travel guarantee is sanitary and cleanliness. Or even on our trek, we encourage our cook offer client food with new tastes from day to day. During adventure itineraries to mountainous or remote areas, there is sometimes no choice for hotel and restaurants. We will try our best to bring you the best taste of local food.

Drinks

As the tap water in Vietnam is undrinkable, Lotussia Travel recommend clients to drink bottled water throughout your trip, or boiled water on treks. Lotussia Travel offers bottle water all the day, and soft drinks like Cola, Sprite or Vietnamese Tea or if possible juice in restaurants (if mentionned in itinerary). This is not automatically included in the packages. In simple restaurant or on camping, Lotussia Travel offers boiled water, instant coffee or juice, wrapped milk (Details are confirmed in bottom of your itinerary).

Transportation

In most destinations of Vietnam, all the roads are well paved though the traffic is quite messed up like in Hanoi, Hai Phong… We use proper vehicles, car, minibus or coach in good condition based on the size of the groups. We use 4WD only on the rough road where the other vehicles could not pass through or based on clients requirement on overland journeys or treks. For cycling itineraries, we usually use our support minibus or minibus with support truck. For sea kayaking, river rafting trips, diving packages we use standard boat as support. Detailed information is provided on our service proposal.

We use drivers who are native or local of each travel destination and maintain good safety records for all trips. Most of our drivers can speak English but a little bit. This is just enough to understand basic words such as “time of departure”, “stop”, “restaurants”, “hotels”…If you want to learn more about Vietnamese culture and information about sightseeing sites, booking a tour guide is highly recommended.
