Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture is located in Dong Mo village, Son Tay town in the suburb of Hanoi. It presents typical cultural historical values of the 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups.

Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture covers on a total area of more than 1,500ha with 7 functional areas, of which, the 200ha ethnic village area has the terrain of hills, mountains, valleys, lakes interwoven the traditional village models of ethnic groups to recreate the natural and cultural landscapes of 4 village clusters in Vietnam.

Cluster I includes landscapes and typical cultural works of 28 ethnic groups in the North-East, North-West and North Central mountainous regions belonging to language families of Tay – Thai, Tang – Mien, Mong – Dao, Viet – Muong, Ka Dai.

Cluster II possesses landscapes and typical cultural works of 18 ethnic groups in the South-Central and Central Highlands regions belonging to language families of Mon – Kho Me, Nam Dao.

Cluster III contains landscapes and typical cultural works of the ethnic groups in the half-mountain half-plain, plateau, mountain, riverside regions belonging to language families of Mon – Kho Me and Nam Dao (Cham, Khmer, Cho Ro, Chu Ru ethnic groups).

Cluster IV expresses landscapes and typical cultural works of the ethnic groups residing in the half-mountain half plain, mountain, plain, coastal, riverside, town regions belonging to language families of Han, Viet – Muong (Kinh, Hoa, Ngai, San Diu ethnic groups).

It is in this Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture where several traditional cultural festivals are reappeared such as North-West highland markets, rain praying festival of Cor ethnic group (Quang Nam Province), rice planting festival of B’rau ethnic group (Kon Tum Province), Bay Nui Ox Racing (An Giang Province), Cai Rang Floating Market (Can Tho City), etc.

These are the opportunity for visitors to enjoy the festive atmosphere imbued cultural identity of each region. Especially, the ethnic people will introduce their own traditional culture beauties to visitors.
