Buckwheat Flower Festival – Ha Giang

The Ha Giang Buckwheat Flower Festival is a cultural festival that celebrates the beauty and diversity of the buckwheat flower, which is a symbol of the Dong Van Karst Plateau in Ha Giang Province, northeast Vietnam. The festival usually takes place in November, when the buckwheat flower blooms in various colors, creating a stunning landscape.

The festival aims to honor the unique cultural values of the Dong Van Karst Plateau, which is a UNESCO Global Geopark, and to attract visitors and develop tourism in the region. The festival includes an opening ceremony with the theme “The karst plateau – thousand blooming flowers” in Dong Van town. There are also other activities, such as a night of buckwheat wine, a display of buckwheat flower products, a photo exhibition of the buckwheat flower, and folk games and performances.

By joining the Ha Giang Buckwheat Flower Festival, you will have the opportunity to visit the Dong Van Karst Plateau and discover one of the less-visited regions of Vietnam.
