Quang Dong Assembly Hall is also known as Quang Trieu Assembly Hall or Cantonese Assembly Hall. It is located at 176 Tran Phu Street, Hoi An City, Quang Nam Province. This is one of the most famous historical buildings in Hoi An, Vietnam.

The Quang Dong Assembly Hall was built in 1855 by members of the local Cantonese origin community. It was later restored in 1915 and 1990. It was constructed according to the Han character 国 (Quoc) and visitors will be amazed by its monumental and grand architecture in comparison with the other surrounding assembly halls.

Records say that the Chinese Cantonese merchants built this hall. The different parts of the building are separately made in China. After finishing the work, those parts were transferred here and joined together to build the The Quang Trieu (Cantonese) Assembly Hall in Hoi An.

The Quang Dong Assembly Hall holds an amazing fountain that features a dragon. The dragon is a beautiful creation made out of pottery. Besides that, there are more attractions waiting for you inside the Quang Trieu (Cantonese) Assembly Hall in Hoi An. Various Cantonese statues are spread out all over the hall. Some of these statues reflect the musical dramas of the Cantonese culture.

Many ancient objects still remain including four horizontal lacquered boards engraved with Han characters, a large 1.6m-tall and 0.6m-wide bronze incense burner, a pair of Chinese porcelain enamelled terra-cotta chairs and many other precious objects that recorded the local community life in Hoi An.

The assembly hall is open daily from 6.00am – 7.30am and 1.00pm – 5.30pm.
