Da Lat market was originally built in 1929. It became an important part of Lam Dong province due to the brisk trade done in the area. In its early days, the market had a simple and spacious layout. For most local people, the market was one of the few places where they could purchase goods.

Over time, ethnic minority people from neighboring areas began going to the market to trade. It becomes now one of the most colorful and lively markets in the country.

Hundreds of stalls display a wide array of flowers, fruits and vegetables from the tropical and temperate zones. From here come most of the flowers and fresh vegetables that are sent to Ho Chi Minh City and other provinces.

The market, famous for local specialties as jams, teas, strawberries, wines, flowers, fresh vegetables and fruits, woollen clothes, etc., is not only a shopping hub but an interesting tourist attraction in the city of Da Lat.

In the daytime, Da Lat charms visitors with its colorful flowers, green pine forests, beautiful lakes and fresh highlands air. Tourists often make side trips to outlying areas to see flower villages, mountains and magnificent waterfalls.

When the sun sets, it’s time to relax and warm up with local food bought at the night market one of the most popular local attractions. Most of the customers in the market are tourists seeking local specialties like wool products, vegetables, or fruits and sampling the local food. Many tourists agree that no tour of Da Lat is complete without exploring the night market and its street food stalls.

Da Lat Market is open from 7.00am to 7.00pm everyday.
